other experience

  RNIB
Following a feasibility study, I was asked to produce an implementation plan for RNIB's new membership scheme. The resulting piece of work was described by the then Chief Executive as one of the best pieces of consultancy he'd seen.

  Greenpeace
As the final part of my MBA I developed a new brand positioning for Greenpeace UK working inside the organisation with staff at all levels and conducting a comprehensive survey of supporters. The strategy was well received by Greenpeace and was awarded a First from Imperial College Management School.

  MBA, Imperial College, London
Undertaking the course full-time and on a self-funded basis I was one of only a few people from the voluntary sector to do an MBA in 1995. As well as core courses in all the major business disciplines, I specialised in Public Sector Management and chose options in Business and the Environment and Business Ethics.

  NSPCC
As Communications Manager I developed and implemented the corporate communications strategy, planned and managed national campaigns and advertising, developed and maintained the corporate identity, managed a team of five and trained staff on communications issues.

I led a national fundraising project that raised £1 million, from developing and scoping the concept to managing 10 regional and national staff on its delivery.

I also have experience from NSPCC of directing corporate videos and photo-shoots, copy-writing, editing and over-seeing the production of corporate materials and conferences.
